Comms Infrastructure

The basis of a network can be said to begin at the wiring closest, or network room or telecoms room, or simply just a rack sitting in the middle of an office with some wires coming out from it. Irregardless of the terms used, or where all the wires are terminated, data cables is the passive part of a network installation, which few people pays attention to. Even a wireless network needs to be connected by a cable at some point; hence cabling is the basic building block of any network. It allows computers, servers, printers and all other devices to be connected together, forming a LAN, and to the WAN/Internet thereon.

So is having a sound basic communications infrastructure important? Yes it certainly is. For a building to stand tall and stable, structural engineers have to ensure the building’s foundation is strong enough to support the building. Likewise, without a well planned out and designed Structured Cabling System in place, business communications can become erratic and may lead to major problems as a result.

Syntellect has the experience, knowledge and capability to design, manage and implement large scale cabling plants. Our team members have delivered cabling projects from as little as 50 points to as many as 10,000 points and above.
